| Abstract: | During the course of an extensive survey of the ecology and systematics of the rotifers from Andhra Pradesh, India, a new species of the genus Lecane has been encountered and described as Lecane eswari sp. nov. It has been found that this species occurs in the winter season and is totally absent in the summer months. |
