Abstract: | Antibody against tubulin from the outer doublets of sea urchin sperm flagella reacts with tubulin-containing structures in mammalian cells. Thus cytoplasmic microtubules, vinblastine-induced paracrystals and the full spectrum of mitotic figures can be visualized by immunofluorescence. These results show that the tubulin structure has been highly conserved during evolution. |
