Abstract: | ![]() The extinctions produced by several organic dyes in the light microscope and the electron microscope are compared. The two have the same order of magnitude. The influence of the methacrylate embedding medium is not great enough to hamper visibility in the electron microscope. It is pointed out that a wide variety of organic stains should be useful for electron microscopic studies. |
