Abstract: | The study of the cell cycle of Schizosaccharomyces pombe has identified many genes involved in eukaryotic cell cycle control. Recent observations suggest that there is a remarkable conservation of these genes and controlling elements in mammalian cells, and have highlighted the power of yeast genetics for investigation of mammalian gene function. |
