Abstract: | Inhibition of leukocyte migration was studied in 40 patients with trophoblastic tumours under the effect of protein extract from chorionepithelioma. A marked inhibition of leukocyte migration was revealed in patients with signs of active tumour process before and during the treatment. Four patients in whom no inhibition was revealed either before or during the treatment were an exception. In the majority of the patients the inhibition effect was absent against the background of clinical well-being achieved as a result of surgical and chemotherapeutic, or chemotherapeutic treatment alone. Leukocytes of healthy donors failed to respond to the tumour extract in all 24 cases. |
