| Abstract: | The larvae of Caenis diminuta WALKER (Ephemeroptera, Caenidae) have coniform chloride cells which are involved in osmoregulation. The number of chloride cells varies according to salinity conditions of the surrounding waters. The larvae from brackish water have less chloride cells than the larvae from fresh water. |
