| Abstract: | The 60S large ribosomal subunit binds directly to membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum. Experiments with myeloma cells in tissue culture suggest that membrane-bound polyribosomes are assembled by attachment of small ribosomal subunits and mRNA to membrane-bound 60S subunits. |
