A high cellulase-producing mutant strain of Trichoderma reesei

A mutant strain with increased production of cellulolytic enzymes was induced from the good cellulase producer Trichoderma reesei QM 9414. Cellulase activities of the mutant in fermenter cultivations were increased two- to three-fold and β-glucosidase activity up to six-fold when compared to the corresponding activities produced by QM 9414.
