Abstract: |  The target of rapamycin (TOR) protein kinase is centrally involved in the coordination of cell growth and proliferation with the availability of growth factors and nutrients. Two recent reports have illuminated a mechanism whereby hypoxic stress dampens TOR signaling in metazoan cells. |
