Abstract: | To reduce the interference in MTT reduction assay, we developed an improved protocol for evaluating the viability of Escherichia coli cells by conducting MTT reduction in 1.5-mL centrifuge tubes and formazan dissolution in test tubes. Our study is helpful in developing protocols for measuring the viability of other gram-negative bacteria. |
