Abstract:
Sclerotia of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum were incubated on cultures of Trichoderma harzianum. Myceliogenic germination decreased by 50% within 1 day and continued to decrease over time. Quantitative PCR showed a decrease in Sclerotinia DNA for older sclerotia, but not fresh sclerotia. Trichoderma DNA increased and persisted inside older sclerotia but not fresh sclerotia.
