Abstract: | The establishment of 5 continuous cell lines from embryonic tissues of the tick Hyalomma anatolicum anatolicum is reported. Each line comprises 2 or more cell types; they are maintained at 28 C and 32 C in L-15/H-Lac medium with 20% fetal calf serum, and have been cryopreserved successfully. Sustained and consistent growth was achieved only after 12-41 mo in culture. |
