Chrysoperla carnea (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) controls Myzus persicae (Homoptera: Aphididae) despite behavioural differences between aphid clones that are associated with MACE-based insecticide resistance

Abstract:The predator Chrysoperla carnea (Stephens) was equally effective against two clones of the aphid Myzus persicae (Sulzer) (Homoptera: Aphididae) that differed in their insecticide resistance profile. This differs from results of similar experiments with Aphidius colemani (Viereck) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) on the same clones of M. persicae.
