| Abstract: | Bacteria and biofilms are frequently preserved in the fossil record, they occur in many sedimentary and volcanogenic-sedimentary rocks. It is highly probable that they always participate in weathering, transfer of matter, sedimentation, and diagenesis of deposits. |
