Abstract:
Polyaniline synthesized by chemical oxidative polymerization was used as an immobilization support for jack bean urease. Such immobilized enzyme has a good catalytic activity, storage stability, and reusability. Properties of free and immobilized urease were compared. Blends of polystyrene, cellulose acetate and poly(methyl methacrylate) with polyaniline were used for urease immobilization as well.
