Abstract: | Seasonal variation of sound production, which includes boatwhistles, grunts, croaks and double croaks, was studied in the Lusitanian toadfish Halobatrachus didactylus . Boatwhistles were emitted during the mating season in contrast with the other sound types, which were emitted all year round. |
