| Abstract: | During clinical examinations and imaging studies of a prematurely born chimpanzee, a heart murmur, tachypnea, dyspnea, and disturbances of blood flow were observed. At necropsy, cardiomegaly, ventricular hypertrophy, and septal defects confirmed the presence of congenital VSD. |
