| Abstract: | The spinning apparatus of the  Haplogynae was studied in cribellate and ecribellate families of this group. Profound differences were encountered between the species investigated. It is concluded that the group of the Haplogynae is polyphyletic and can not be maintained in a phylogenetic system of the Araneae.Sonderdruckanforderungen an: Prof. Dr. Peter Ax II.
