| Abstract: | A method was developed for the hemoglobin-free perfusion of the rabbit psoas muscle in situ. This muscle consists almost exclusively of fast-twitch (type IIb) glycolytic fibres and was therefore used as a model of a homogeneous muscle of the glycolytic, metabolic type. |
