Abstract: | Synchronized Chinese hamster cells were induced with ZnCl2 at multiple stages of the cell cycle and labeled with [35S]cysteine, and the 35S-labeled proteins were isolated and separated into metallothionein and nonmetallothionein fractions. Metallothionein was found to be inducible in all stages of the cell cycle and in G1-arrested cells. |
