Abstract: | In North American women at low or high risk of developing breast cancer, as assessed by an epidemiologic questionnaire, the plasma concentration of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate shows a statistically significant circannual variation. In adolescents, in all seasons, circulating dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate is a classifier of the risk of developing breast cancer, a relatively low concentration of this hormone being associated with an increased risk. |
