| Abstract: | Summary Transposon Tn7 was inserted into wide host range plasmid pSUP202 and used as a suicide plasmid vehicle for transposon mutagenesis in Rhizobium leguminosarum. Tn7 is transposed with high frequency into the self-transmissible plasmid pJB5JI without affecting the transfer, nodulation and nitrogen fixation functions. Tn7 transposition provides a useful tool for marking symbiotic plasmids. |
