Zusammenfassung Zwei Spießflughuhnpaare schritten im zweiten Lebensjahr in einer Freivoliere zur Fortpflanzung. Beide Paare brachten je 3 Dreiergelege, das eine brütete selbst und zog die Jungen teilweise selbst auf, wobei Einzelheiten der Brut und der Jungenführung beobachtet werden konnten.

Summary Two pairs of sandgrouse (Pterocles alchata) were breeding in captivity at their second year of life. Each pair had three clutches during the breedingseason, each clutch containing three eggs. One pair bred and reared the young to some parts itself and details of the breeding-habits and the behaviour of the young could be observed.
