The Free and Combined Amino-Acids in some Plant Juices

Abstract:
An examination of the amino-acids present in the 75 per cent.alcohol-soluble and insoluble parts of a number of plant juiceshas been made. Details are given of a technique which enablestwenty-two of these to be estimated with an accuracy of 5 percent. of the amount present, based on paper chromatography andthe ninhydrin reaction carried out under strictly standardizedconditions.
