Abstract: | A case of unilateral hilar amyloidosis in a 69-year-old man was diagnosed by fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy and confirmed by ultrastructural studies. The roentgenographic presentation of amyloidosis solely as a unilateral hilar enlargement is extremely rare, with only one case previously reported in the English literature; this appears to be the first case of hilar amyloidosis diagnosed by FNA biopsy. |
