Abstract: | Abstract Three laboratory strains and 3 clinical isolates of Bordetella pertussis were found to have no IgA protease activity when incubated with radio-labelled IgA. In addition, no IgA protease activity was detected in the Second British Reference Preparation for Pertussis Vaccine, an acellular vaccine produced in Japan, or one strain each of Bordetella parapertussis and Bordetella bronchiseptica . |
