Abstract: | ![]() Abstract Synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein was studied during a diauxic adaptation (glucose- to acetate-utilization) of Escherichia coli B. The multiphasic transition described illuminates certain features of the mechanisms regulating metabolism of the 3 macromolecules involved in the genetic flow of information. |
