Chloroplast signaling: retrograde regulation revelations |

| Abstract: | Developing chloroplasts are able to communicate their status to the nucleus and regulate expression of genes whose products are needed for photosynthesis. Heme is revealed to be a signaling molecule for this retrograde communication. |
