| Abstract: | The fossil ostracods reported here were collected from the Jurassic of the Chaocan 1 hole in east Chaoshui Basin,Gansu. They contain 16 species in 2 genera, including Darwinula impudica,D. sarytimenensis,D. magna,D. xiaoxiaensis,D. longula,D. agitibilis,D. protensa,D. jinhuaensis,D . sp.1, D . sp.2, D . sp., Timiriasevia mackerrowi,T. gracilis,T. incognata,T . cf. humilis ,and T. catenularia . This ostracod assemblage is similar to those found from the Middle Jurassic in Xining, North Shanxi, Henan, Yunan, Sichuan and Xinjiang, and analogous to the ostracod assemblages Middle Jurrassic in Kazakhstan and Oxford in England. This ostracod assemblages is considered to be late Middle Jurassic in age. |
