Abstract:
The specific activities of ATPases in homogenates of bluegill fish tissues were determined and found to be similar to those previously reported for rabbit tissues. Na+-K+ ATPase was most active in brain and kidney, and Mg2+ ATPase was most active in muscle.
Keywords:ATPase, ATP phosphohydrolase, EC 3.6.1.3   NADH, reduced beta-diphosphopyridine nucleotide, disodium salt   PEP, phospho(enol)pyruvate   BSA, bovine serum albumin   PK, pyruvate kinase   LDH, lactic dehydrogenase
