Abstract: | ![]() Summary A group of 166 soil samples collected in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy from avian and chiropteran habitats was examined for the presence of keratinophilic fungi. One hundred forty-four isolates, classified among 14 genera, were obtained. The majority of the fungi were members of the family Gymnoascaceae. The significance of these findings was discussed. |
