Abstract: | Some technical tips are described on how to improve the discrimination between perfect and imperfect duplexes formed by hybridization
of fluorescently labeled oligonucleotides to biological microchips. Model experiments were performed to assess the precision
of the method. Effects of labeling on the efficiency of hybridization and some properties of competitive hybridization were
studied using short synthetic oligonucleotides and three most popular fluorochromes as examples. |
