Abstract Previous reports of Carulaspis visci (Schrank) in New Zealand are considered to be misidentifications of C. juniperi (Bouché), the juniper scale. The known hosts (Cupressaceae and Taxodiaceae), distribution (all South Island localities), and a record of a parasite (Aspidiotiphagus citrinus (Craw), Aphelinidae) of C. juniperi in New Zealand are given. |
