| Abstract: | When pregnant mice were fed biotin-deficient diets, cleft palate occurred more frequently in male fetuses than in female fetuses. Possible underlying mechanisms are speculated on, and some methodological problems in the analysis of sex-related differences in multiparous animals are discussed. |
