| Abstract: | A histochemical investigation on the cell walls of the hypostasein Torenia fournieri Lind. (Scrophulariaceae) revealed thatthey contain large amounts of callose, cellulose and pectins.Except in the middle lamellae, tests failed to show lignin inthe walls.
