Abstract: | The adsorption of proteins at implant surfaces plays a key role in osseointegration and is therefore of great importance in biomaterial science. Laser scanning microscopy (LSM) is described, a method that is used here for the first study of the adsorption of proteins on implant surfaces. These LSM measurements provide information on the surface morphology, and the spatial distribution of adsorbed proteins can be deduced. |
