Abstract: | A family of proteins related to the microtubule motor, kinesin, is emerging. Members of this family, which includes both plus- and minus-end motors, are involved in nuclear functions such as nuclear fusion after karyogamy, spindle pole-body separation and chromosome segregation, as well as in transport in neuronal cells. |
