| Abstract: | The cardiac baroreflex sensitivity (BRS) was measured in quiet awake rats after phenylephrine injections. It was shown that BRS progressively increased during daytime (rest period) and decreased at the beginning of the night (activity period). These variations were independent from the levels of blood pressure and heart period recorded before the BRS measurements. |
