我国转基因抗虫棉应用现状及建议

对１９９９年底前经过安全性评价或经过审定的转基因抗虫棉品种２３个以及未经评价或审定的品种３１个进行了调研。转基因抗虫棉发展迅速，１９９９年种植面积近９００万亩，在生产上总体表现良好，棉铃虫抗性强，减少化学农药治虫，受到了广大棉农的欢迎。但抗虫棉本身还有一些不足之处，种子管理及生产利用上也存在一些问题，针对当前抗虫棉的情况和发展要求，对我国转基因抗虫棉的发展提出了几点建议。

Present Situation and Proposals for the Application of Transgenic Insect-Resistant Cotton in China

Up to the end of 1999,23 cultivars of transgenic insect-resistant cotton passed safety assessment or have been approved to release for commercial production in China. In addition, other 31 transgenic insect-resistant lines were developed and most of them are now used in cotton production,but they did not perform safety assessment or were approved to release yet. Transgenic insect-resistant cotton developed rapidly, and was widely used. Its application area reached nearly 9 million mu (ca. 0.6 million ha )in 1999.Transgenic cotton showed well in the commercial production, such as good resistance to bollworms, great reduction in the application of insecticide, etc. It was warmly welcomed by cotton growers. Although transgenic insect-resistant cotton expresses these advantages, it per se possesses some disadvantages. Meanwhile, there are some problems in seed administration and commercial application of transgenic cotton. Therefore, several concrete proposals for the healthy development of transgenic insect-resistant cotton are forwarded according to its current situation and developmental requirements.
