Abstract: | Three xanthones, named cochinchinones E-G, together with 10 known xanthones and a known anthraquinone were isolated from the root, fruit and twigs of Cratoxylum cochinchinense. Their structures were characterized by spectroscopic methods. Some of the compounds had antibacterial and cytotoxic activities. |
