| Abstract: | Activities of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and 6-phospho-gluconate dehydrogenase as well electrophoretic mobility of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase from erythrocytes of Brazilian monkeys were investigated. Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity of simian was 4 times higher than the human values. Regarding electrophoretic studies, the results, did not reveal any intraspecific polymorphism. A comparison of erythrocyte glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenases among primates is also presented. |
