Abstract: | We have studied the diameter of chromatin fibres embedded in epoxy resins for three different materials: mouse thymus, chicken erythrocytes and sea cucumber spermatozoa. We confirm that the diameter of chromatin fibres increases with linker length, both values being influenced by the protein composition of chromatin. |
