Abstract: | Summary Passeristrongylus amandavae n. g., n. sp. is described from the small intestine of Amandava subflava, recently imported from Africa. After discussing the systematic classification the new genus is classified within the subfamily Ornithostrongylinae. The genus is characterized by its synlophe consisting of oblique longitudinal ridges, mainly on the right side of the worms. ac]19840501 |
