| Abstract: | Synthesis of the TRbeta-selective thyromimetic GC-1 has been improved using methoxymethyl (MOM) and triisopropylsilyl (TiPS) substituents as phenolic protecting groups. The new synthetic route is adaptable to analogue design. |
