Abstract: | In Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2), as the content of palmitoleic acid increased with decreasing growth temperature, H2O2 resistance decreased. Production of thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances upon H2O2 treatment was increased by supplementing unsaturated fatty acids. Therefore, the content of palmitoleic acid is a determining factor for the survival of Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2) subjected to H2O2 stress. |
