A Study of Distribution-free Tests for Umbrella Alternatives |

| Abstract: | In this paper we are concerned with test procedures for umbrella alternatives in the k-sample location problem. Distribution-free tests are considered for both cases where the peak of the umbrella is known or unknown. Comparative results of a Monte Carlo power study are presented. |
