| Abstract: | The nucleotide sequence of 1400 bp from R-plasmid R538-1 containing the streptomycin/spectinomycin adenyltransferase gene (aadA) was determined, and the location of the aadA gene was identified by a combination of insertion and deletion mutants. Its gene product, aminoglycoside 3"-adenylyltransferase (AAD(3")(9), has a Mr of 31,600. |
