Abstract: | In a pioneering application of proton Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), lung edema has been monitored in vivo in Zn-deficient rats exposed to 85% oxygen. Dietary Zn appears to play a role in protecting against hyperoxia-induced lung damage. |
