DNA mixture in the presence of air a long-lived $\text{(}\text{t}{}_{\mathrm{<mtext>1</mtext><mtext>2</mtext>}}\text{= 45}\text{minutes}\text{)}$ EPR silent species (I′) is formed; the circular dichroism and absorption spectra of which have been characterized.
