Abstract: | ![]() An exogenous natural lung surfactant obtained from minced pig lungs can be produced by a technology using a low cost, DEAE-cellulose adsorbent. This surfactant is composed mainly with phospholipids and the two hydrophobic polypeptides, SP-B and SP-C, both of which are necessary for optimal function of surfactants used for treatment of respiratory distress syndrome. |
